2 double beds in this Deluxe Suite on the top floor – somewhat medieval. The large bay window has a window seat and armchairs, a hospitality tray and television.
Elizabeth Fry
The room has an antique four-poster bed, a bath en-suite, comfortable chairs, television and a hospitality tray. Located on the first floor this room sleeps 2 people.

Benson Superior Double
The Benson room is named after E.F Benson the writer who is remembered mainly for his witty, series of six novels featuring his unforgettable Elizabeth Mapp and Emmeline Lucus (“Lucia”). Four of the novels were set in “Tilling”, Benson’s name for Rye. Fred lived in Lamb House, Rye (called “Mallards House” in the novels) for the last 20 years of his life and was also three times Mayor of the town from 1934-1937.

This room is on the first floor it has recently been renovated with reproduction French furniture and Laura Ashley décor.

Radclyffe Hall
The Radclyffe Hall Suite is named after the famous lesbian who came to live in Rye 1928. She wrote The Well of Loneliness and was a regular visitor to Jeake’s House when it was owned by Conrad Aiken, the American novelist and poet.

The suite is located on the first floor overlooking Mermaid Street and is dramatically dressed and draped in English Toile.
