Parking.

Guests are guaranteed a space in our own private car park.  A permit is available for a small charge.  Mermaid Street is two-way, so please park outside the House to unload luggage; we’ll direct you to the car park, which is a short walk back.

Check in.

Arrive as early as you like. If your room is not quite ready, relax in our Bar or Parlour. If you plan to arrive after 8.00 p.m., please let us know.

Check Out.

Check out time is 11 a.m.  You can leave your luggage with us and your car in the car park.

Children.

Unfortunately, Jeake’s House is unsuitable for small children during busy periods. We’re happy to welcome younger people in mid-week during the winter, when space permits.

Stairs.

Parts of Jeake’s House were built in the 17th century, so it may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

Pets.

Let us know if you wish to bring your dog. A £10 per dog per night housekeeping fee applies. We ask that you keep your dog on a lead, don’t leave him/her unattended in your room, and please bring a dog bed.

Deposits.

In order to confirm your booking we require a deposit of £50.00 per room per night. Once we have received the deposit, a legally binding contract exists between us. We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.

Cancellations.

If you need to cancel, it is important that you tell us as soon as possible, so that we can re-let your room and minimise the loss. If we receive 10 days notice, we will happily refund your deposit (minus a 20% handling fee).  If we do not receive 10 days notice, you will be charged the full amount of your first night’s stay. If you do not cancel, but fail to arrive, you agree to pay for the full duration of your booking. In the event of your stay being cut short for any reason, the full duration of your booking will be charged. We advise you to take out travel insurance to protect you against possible loss.
